First Time Here?
If this is your first time using WCOnline, you’ll see the following message: “Only administrators can log in to this system via the form below. Non-administrators must log in to this program here.” When you click the link, you will be directed to the registration form in order to set up your account. Once you’ve registered, you will be able to log in to WCOnline to schedule your writing center consultation.
Do Not Use the Password Reset Tool
The Reset Password feature on the WCOnline login page is for administrators only. Because your WCOnline account is linked to the CSU-Global Portal, using the Reset Password feature will log you out of WCOnline and put you in a loop that continually redirects back to the CSU-Global Portal. If you have any issues logging into WCOnline, please contact the Writing Center Coordinator.
Guidelines for Using the Writing Center
- CSU-Global students may reserve up to two (2) appointments per week.
- Appointments can be scheduled up to a week in advance.
- Appointments can be scheduled as early as 24 hours in advance.
- If you do not show up for an appointment or fail to upload a document prior to the start time of the appointment, it will be marked a no-show.
- If a student is more than 5 minutes late for an appointment, the student will be considered a no-show.
- If you need to reschedule, you can cancel your appointment in WCOnline up until the start time of the appointment or it will be considered a no-show.
- After three (3) no-shows, your account will be disabled and you must email the Writing Center Coordinator in order to reinstate it.
- Writing consultants who are teaching courses cannot work with students who are presently enrolled in their courses.
- Writing consultants cannot work with students to complete PLA or CBE requirements.
Calendar invites and WCOnline
When scheduling an appointment, please remember that all Writing Center consultations are held in Mountain Time.
If you are outside of Mountain Time, please note that when you receive an appointment confirmation email, any calendar invites included in the email will incorrectly specify that the appointment is at 12am. For the time being, we recommend that you use the Update Profile option on the Welcome menu in WCOnline to disable iCal on your account.
The emails and text messages that WCOnline sends as confirmation and reminder of your appointments will still display the correct appointment time. You can also reference the My Appointments option in your WCOnline account as well.
